optimistic

so, it's been raining here in longmont since yesterday evening. an uncommon scenery for me since i moved here about four years ago. it's practically dry here almost all of the time. kinda reminds of home. ok, granted it's a little bit chilly than home. maybe it reminds me of dublin then. yes, dublin.. those were beautiful days. oh, and how i felt the brunt of a hail storm yesterday! hail droplets as big as golf balls dropping from the sky like rain drops. believe it or not, and to my utter astonishment, they have a 'hail season' here in colorado! (don't know when's that exactly though hehe). i got a little carried away, excited even, at first til i heard some people talking about insurance coverage for the car and what-have-yous. that instance i realized the horror of not having paid my car insurance yet! i swear i felt my heart skipped a beat. the hail storm lasted for about 10 minutes. the program director called off the meeting we were in at that moment. to my great relief, my wrx survived the storm with minor dings all over the hood and roof. no shattered windshields and such (alhamdulillah). i'd probably need to send it in for repair, but, at least, the damages were less severe then what i've anticipated. i overestimated the damage.. which is always good. in dealing with most predicaments, i always wanna look at the bright side and hope for the best and brace myself for the worst. can't say that this always works because my heart still cringes when bad things happened, but it alleviates the bitter feeling afterwards. anyways, that was one heck of a storm. watching the news later on that night, it was revealed that the storm only hit this part of town where my workplace is located at. hmm must be a sign from above(?!).. *note to self: dude, please jangan tinggal sembahyang anymore for whatever reasons k!
